new weblog entry?

hello my friends and acquaintances.
a ton of doggy doo-doo has gone down in the past month, and it pretty much sucks.  well, there was one totally badass thing that happened that pretty much made it all worth it.

PART ONE

at the beginning of june, brandon moved out because he couldn't afford to live at the plex anymore, and i sure as hell couldn't live there by myself.  so, out we go.  then our landlord brad decides to play douche bigalow and not let the left side be rented by us at all.  yep, all of it.  that means our studio set-up is totally gone.  it's pretty sad.

PART TWO

we had some shows lined up a few weeks ago, one of which was a trip to the awesome Columbia, MO.  a day before it and a show the following night in Fayetteville, our drummer sells out and becomes a drum tech for puddle of mudd.  seriously.  i'm not kidding.  so off he goes on the road with the shittiest of the Shitty bands.  if there's one thing in life that everybody just shoves in my face, it's that money will make things better.  brandon is getting paid pretty sweet, and he'll be able to pay off his debt in a few months or whatever, but am i the only one who thinks that money doesn't rule everything?  anyway, sorry.  he leaves on tour, and we decide to go on to Columbia without him.  we don't have enough gas money to get there.  poor us.  we DID, however, have gas money to get to Russellville, which brings me to the Happy Conclusion.......

PART THREE

we call Jumpin' Josh and say we're coming to RussVegas or RusellKill or whatever those kids call it.  him and Mark Olson save the day by putting together a show in the span of a couple of hours.  i'm guessing a lot of those kids would have been hanging there anyway, maybe, but it was too awesome.  we get there, and one of the first people i see is Adam Faucett the Great.  i get all giddy and ask if he wants to play some songs with us too, and he says that he thinks he's already going to.   anyway, i could write pages about that show, so i'll stop.  we ask him to come to Fayetteville with us, and we get Andy Warr too.  so instead of a Global Test show at the "Boom Boom" Room, it's the GT Variety Hour.  me Chad and Mark play a song, then Adam, then Andy, and on and on.  its was sweet.  Mark got really, really drunk and was threatening to beat people in the head with a baseball bat from the stage.  it was really, really, REALLY great.  the next week, we have a show at Juanita's, so someone (i don't really know how) decides that instead of GT, we can let Adam play, and we'll back him up, like the Band did for Dylan and shit.  he practice for three days straight.  the show was really fun, and there were a ton of people there.  the next week, he brings us into Blue Chair, and we fuck with the songs some more, whilst recording his solo album.  life is such a rollercoaster.

i don't really know how to end this, so check this out........

QT & RR

Grindhouse was the shit.  it's not just going to see a movie, it's an event.  it is fuuun as hell.

best movie i've seen all decade, i'd probably say.

The faux trailers by Rodriguez, Edgar Wright, Rob Zombie, and Eli Roth were brilliant, as well.
